First Salary

Receiving *First Salary* is very special moment for everyone in their life...
This is his first time when you have not demanded it but you have earned it.
Person become so much excited and makes plan to do something special and memorable with that income.

It was a special moment for me as well. The time when I received my salary for the first time was really emotional moment. I received my first salary in 2nd month. That means I have to wait for more than 2 month two receive my first salary. I and my brother both were working together so we jointly received two month salary which was Rs.12000 in 2010 AD Feb. Though we were paid less but receiving this amount filled us with joy and excitement.

On the way to home, we both brother were thinking on things we need the most right now and rest we shall handover to parents. But we could not decide the same. So we called Maa, and explained her everything. She advised us two purchase few things for both of us and 1 for my grandfather as well.

So you might be excited to know, what were the things we bought from our first salary. 

The time when we were working was the time of studying but the situation compelled us to do so. My father was seriously ill and was admitted to hospital. My whole family were in village that time. Study was on hold. Most impotant spend for my salary was to pay expense of my father's Medical bill but salary was very less to pay as compared to medical bill. 

To earn Rs.3000, we have to work for whole month and my father's daily expense was Rs.3000. That means my monthly salary was only enough for a day medical bill. So we decided not to buy anything for us but to pay medical bill. 

You will be surprised to know that our clothes were old and torned out. Our undergarments were totally damaged. So my Maa told to purchase couple of undergarments for both of us and also a towel for my grandfather. 

Let me introduce you with my grandfather. He was retired government employee with handsome pension. I know a towel can not express my love for him but I had strengths for this towel only. 

When we were on our way to village, my whole family which includes my uncle aunt everyone were aware of my salary which I received. They were fiercely waiting for me to come when they heard of shopping undergarments and towel which hardly cost Rs. 200 that time. 

I was not aware of this situations at my house. Sorry not my house, my grandfather house or uncle house not even my father house. Yes, correct, when you are poor, people will show you your place.
